The pilgrimage to access Ipon is an adventure in itself, requiring bold spirit and healthy body. But the 320-metre journey is worth the effort. Hikers are rewarded by a breathtaking view from the rocky summit on which Ipon is perched. The star-filled sky will be your ceiling as you are enveloped by 360° of natural scenery.
The surrounding landscape has the feel of taiga as centenarian lichens, creeping moss and bonsai watch over your sleep. Mind your step and don’t disturb the millenarian growth.

Ipon is at an altitude of 60 metres, which makes the last 90 metres of the access path difficult. Good shoes are a must. The surrounding vegetation is extremely fragile. It takes time for it to grow in the arid conditions of the monadnock summits. Please be vigilant and stay on the marked paths. Take the time to breathe in the hills of Kamouraska.
Each perchoir is designed for two people. Bedding is provided. Drinking water and breakfast are also provided (self-serve French press coffee, two muffins and two servings of wild rose juice). There is no running water or shower. Each site has a private dry toilet. We suggest that you bring a headlamp, sensible footwear for forest hiking and clothing suitable for intemperate weather. Surprises are waiting for you!
Warning! This is mosquito country, so be psychologically prepared. We provide bug spray! Each perchoir is protected by screens.
You are debited for the total amount upon reservation.
You can cancel your stay up to 14 days before the reservation date. Please note that a fee of 25$ per night per Perchoir will be charged.
For a Perchoir/show package, if the show is cancelled due to bad weather, the value of the show is reimbursed or can be transferred to a later date. The cancellation of the show does not affect your lodging reservation.
